Because I can not find all the Christmas lights with LED color purple. I imagined a way that I could do myself but would like some advice first if it will work or not. I thought I'd buy 100 white LED light strings to ebay, then just dip each LED in purple paint. Jeeves No, no! They emit very little light in the violet spectrum, so if you paint them purple, they will be extremely low. glass paint must be better than its readily available and relatively cheap.
