White Led Christmas Lights

Because I can not find all the Christmas lights with LED color purple. I imagined a way that I could do myself but would like some advice first if it will work or not. I thought I'd buy 100 white LED light strings to ebay, then just dip each LED in purple paint.

I do not know what type of paint that will last word heat lights, but translucent enough to be clear.

What are your suggestions?

Dip your lights in the paint can cause all sorts of problems, and honestly, you will not end with the color you want. Here's another idea, you can buy purple caps put the light on your white lights to make them purple http://www.christmasworld.com/christmas- ...

white LEDs are made with an ultraviolet phosphor layer that emits visible spectrum when exposed to UV light. They emit very little light in the violet spectrum, so if you paint them purple, they will be extremely low.

glass paint must be better than its readily available and relatively cheap.
