Tree Stands

Tree StandsQuestion on restraint systems and safety harnesses for tree stands?

Last year I fell from my tree, while I climbed down and was hurt pretty bad. I was using a harness and the scapegoat for restraint. But my problem is I have more than one booth and the Fall Guy straps are $ 70 a pop. Anyone have an alternative less expensive and I'm sure climbing and out of the booth?

Seat Belt Use the style of a lineman to climb and descend from your tree stand. It has a rope that passes around the shaft and belt hooks. They are adjustable to fit any size of trees. Linemen trust their lives every day up and down poles.

I have a strong wrist, about 3 feet long that I clip to my harness, and the other for positions on my stand scale. As I go up and down. It is impossible to fall far should I slip.

My climbing stands are "stand and sit like" while climbing and descending. They are easy to keep my harness attached to the tree I climbed and the lowest. Again, I'm drag not fall more than 2 feet.

Always keep the harness attached to the tree. Takes more time to rise and fall, but security can not be beat.

Trust you have recovered fine.

I have the same system as you do. Fall Guy for me are the best on the market, I am so attached to the strap my jacket to go with me from tree to tree and those out to about 30 feet remaining in the tree at any time .

These guys are not cheap as you say, but my life is worth more than $ 70.
