Silver Tinsel Christmas TreePosted on March 14, 2010. Remember the tinsel Christmas trees money from the 60s ...? .... and light-colored spinning your parents put under the tree to get the flashy looking as if it was changing colors? We have never had a money tree. We have always had the green tree cheap. I always thought that people with money trees were rich. I look back now and know that this is not true. I also thought that people who put ice on their money trees were rich. Bubble lights were out of our league. Our tree smelled of mold is in our musty basement. But when I was a kid, unpacking all the years I thought it smelled like Christmas, and Santa Claus. I loved that smell. Strangely, I do! Yikes! lol baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack is ... I saw a presentation today at BJ Wholesale ... a little scary Yeah, I remember those. We had the lights too bubbly. I liked to put the tinsel on the tree and we had a real tree at the time. I remember trash day, you can see the trees on the sidewalk on the block with tinsel hanging. that was well before my time! we continue to use them! I still have a tinsel tree 50s and is in fairly good shape, yet. I put it up for our New Year's Eve and decorate it with streamers of silver bullets, and plastic champagne glasses as a centerpiece of my buffet table. Mine is only about 3 feet high. I still have the original box so I can store and every year. CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment |
