Shooting Star Hydrangea

Posted on March 2, 2010.
Shooting Star HydrangeaHow can you care for a hydrangea shooting star?

I just bought my first plant for my first apartment. This is a shooting star and hydrangea is beautiful. I am known for gardening and want to know if anyone knows how to take care. Advice that are only found on the traditional sticker on the plant and those on the Internet would be greatly appreciated!

The hydrangeas are acid loving plants. Use acid wear by Miracle Grow. You can also start your "used" coffee grounds at the base of the plant. The majority of soils is deficent in acid and most soils are alkaline side. I do not know what area you live in this opinion is widespread. This is not an idea to put this plant in direct "hot" light of the sun for an extended period. Good morning sun until about 11:00 the sun is ok. But Sun hot afternoon because it may burn the leaves.
Keep your ledger soil, but do not overwater. Too much water will kill a plant. Water only when soil becomes dry.
Hope this helps.

what you have is a variety of Hydrangea macrophylla, the lacecaps ... Read here for good info on them ....

it will be a little hard to keep the APT permanently .... can be done, but take great care of you and really super light .... it would be much happier outside in spring and summer and autumn, for you !!.... got a patio or balcony in the shade ?....

Furthermore, if this plant is in bloom now and it's winter where you are, the plant was forced to bloom in the greenhouse and will be a long time before it will bloom again, you don 't have the chemicals needed to force bloom ... he will recover and get back on its own cycle of bloom again .... and that this might mean going out ...

simply maintain good health, and many green and have patience with him ....

for an initial installation, you chose a tough question .... Please do not be discouraged if it proves too difficult to manage ... obtain a pothos vine next time ... green, no flowers, love you, even if you forget to water it from time to time .....

Whatever
