Retro Christmas Tree

Retro Christmas TreeSearch for a retro Christmas Song old Angel atop the Christmas tree?

When I was a child back in the late 1950s, I had a record Christmas '78. I'm not sure of the exact name of the song, but the words I remember are, All I Want to Be The summit is the Angel of the Christmas tree. Nobody else seems to remember this song and I can not find the lyrics anywhere. If you can help with the song or the lyrics, it would be greatly appreciated.

With the information provided, my best guess is the Andrews Sisters, "The Christmas Tree Angel."

The lyrics, like making santasearch.org:

While the stars are shining angels on Christmas night
A sweet little angel takes leave heaven
She likes to help Santa Claus dress the tree
So next Christmas morning.
Look up and you'll

Sweet Angie, the Christmas tree angel
On the top Tippy Tippy top of the tree
Dressed in Stardust and foil
Have a very merry merry Christmas, "she said

The colors and lights it sprays the snow
She hangs up the holly and mistletoe light
The most beautiful angel you never met
She makes Christmas one day we will never forget

Sweet Angie, the Christmas tree angel
On the top Tippy Tippy top of the tree
Dressed in Stardust and foil
Have a very merry merry Christmas, "she said

When Santa has filled all the stockings with toys
And left all his gifts for good girls and boys
Sweet Angie is busy till dawn begins to
Organize toys children awake until

Then with the morning a smile on his face
When Angie has put all the toys in their place
The next thing you know, gently laughing with joy,
Sweet Angie returns to the top of the tree.

Sweet Angie, the Christmas tree angel
On the top Tippy Tippy top of the tree
Dressed in Stardust and foil
Have a very merry merry Christmas, "she said

On the top Tippy Tippy top of the tree
Have a very Merry Merry Christmas, "she said.

Merry Christmas

Intro reference to the Andrews Sisters allmusic.com:

The Andrews Sisters were the most successful female vocal group from the early 20th century U.S. source lists 113 singles entries by the trio between 1938-1951, averaging more than eight per year. They boasted an exuberant, close to the style of harmony capacity suited to the new happy songs, and their complex vocal arrangements and rhythmic sound of the mirror swing bands that constituted their chief competition in their heyday. But in a sense, they had no competition. No other female vocal group, and very few men, came close to success in the late 30s to early 50s, a time when the first big band vocalists, then dominated popular music. Their reign is all the more remarkable that they swam against the tide of contemporary music trends while making it seem effortless. For the most part, the Andrews Sisters did not focus on romantic material, but rather sang upbeat songs, often borrowed from other cultures. Although they were well established when the U.S. entered the war, their content optimistic boosters made perfect the war effort, and later they remained closely identified with the war years, recalled that wearing military uniforms and singing their signature song, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
