Reindeer Plates

Posted on March 8, 2010.
Reindeer PlatesWhy do all religions have so much "magic"?

When you look at the different religions, they usually contain "magic". For example:

The Mormon religion contains the magical golden plates, the angel magic magical seeing stone, the magical ascent of the plates in the sky, etc.

The Muslim faith has the angel magic, the magical flying horse, a magical voice, the prophet magic, etc.

The Christian faith includes insemination magic, star magic, magical dreams, miracles, magic, magical resurrection, ascension and so magical.
The presence of "magic" is a clear marker for "imaginary". For example, how do we know that Santa is imaginary? Because (among others), he has eight reindeer flying magic. How do we know that Jack and the Beanstalk is a fairy tale? Because (among others) the story contains magic seeds. Similarly, how do we know that God is to believe? Because God is surrounded by magic.

According to believers, God is an omnipotent being who has the divine, the magic power to do something. How do we know that this belief is a fairy tale? One way to know is to try to invoke the magical power of God. The Bible tells us in many places that God answers prayers. However, whenever we try to pray, we note that nothing happens.
This shows us that God is completely imaginary. The magical powers attributed to him is a fairy tale.

Another way to find out is to read the stories of magical events in the Bible. It is the magic flow, but we know with certainty that the flood never happened. There are the miracles of Jesus magic, but (predictably) None of these miracles left any tangible evidence. It is the resurrection magic, but it is no proof he ever took place and no reason to believe it.

God is the same as Leprechauns, mermaids and Santa. God is a creature fairy story.

The "Magic", explains much of the otherwise ludicrous accounts told in the Bible.

Because without it, religion would be that the science is not ... science. The truth is the whole idea of religion is based on "magical" things unexplained, and that's usually where the function of "god" comes in. .. explain everything that is not explained by research or science for the moment.

Because he needs the magic to keep getting new followers. Today, we see only the winners of the competition for followers of religions that has been going on the history of thought. And if we stay with those who most appeal to the human psyche. It seems magic is what appeals to most people, if magic is what they will get.

Besides, what substance, religion are if you take all the magic? Only a few good lessons of basic common sense and some very, very bad. Does religion make for a very long time? Would it produce people willing to die to spread their religion, like those of magic do?

I think these things were never meant to be taken literally. They are mythology. This takes nothing away from religion, though, or a Higher Power, just because stories reveal myths rather than literal things.

21 Today some believe that evil spirits mentioned in the Scriptures are merely symbolic of the notion of evil. However, the Bible reveals that demons are real and are behind astrology, witchcraft, and certain types of magic. (Acts 16:16-18, 2 Peter 2:04, Jude 6) The dangers of spiritualism are equally real. People in many cultures turn to shamans or sorcerers who claim mysterious powers, and sorcerers. Others seek the direction of the horoscope or use of tarot cards, divining rods, Ouija boards, or special crystals. Even attempts to communicate with the spirits of the dead are very frequent. Reportedly.
