Prom Flowers

My ball is fast approaching, and I have a red dress is a bit simple, but my jewelry is incredible! unifies all. But the flowers are a problem. I do not want a wrist corsage because their extremely annoying. Then my mother suggested holding a single rose for photos, then just after disgarding, but the problem is red would be inconsistent with my dress. My jewelry is black and silver so I thought a black rose, but I do not want to look like im going to a funeral, my hair is very dark brown. Does anyone have any ideas!

What about a white rose? Or white with red edges - oops no, that blend into your dress. Pink? Cream?
Another question is why the flowers at all? It is a tradition, not an obligation.

I like fire and ice roses. The inside of the petals are red, white outside. The white would break the red, I think .... There are so many varieties out there, do not black.
