Long Stem Red Roses

Posted on February 14, 2010.
Long Stem Red RosesHow long, cut long stem red roses if they live in water?

my friend wants to buy his girlfriend a red rose for her birthday romantic, but how's his birthday two weeks, how long does not cut long-stemmed roses live for if their water.

Wait until nearer the date. Seriously, you can get a product called fresh flowers, which helps cut flowers last longer. Two weeks is too much, though. When you do get it, cut about 1 inch of stem on an angle and put in warm water (not hot) water to help move up the stem and assist it last longer too.

From a florist well when you follow the instructions that come with flowers, they should last about two weeks after my experience. He does not buy the flowers until the day of his birthday though!

Hmmm ... THT is sweet ... they live normally charge for a day or two ... then start loosin it shines .. But you can not hold good for 4-5 days puttin a few (2-3) Disprine in water (a medicine used to treat headace )....

But two weeks is too long .... But he can try keepin the roses in deep fridge ..... probably it will work so THT!

i buy roses for my wife often. but to think they will last 2 weeks ..... ok keep dreaming. the controls on fresh flowers, cut the stems under warm water, this does not seem to penetrate the stems so ....... I have been told to change the water daily, you can get one week of them.

check the bulbs when you buy them, if not mushy her tight, then they are fresh, mushier (sp) the more they are. We usually wait until they just begin to open, then cluster around the stem end with string and hang them upside down in a closet for a few weeks . they dry well and back in a vase.

They had two good days unless of course they are fresh fresh then maybe a week with care and changing the water and re cut the stems at least every two days. Plant food also
