Whenever I walk in the parks of the city, or tour the countryside, watching the trees that I cross bringing back memories of Happy Tree climbing tent camping in the woods, long walks with my parents, walking with friends or simply relax under a tree branch enjoying the breeze. Although my yard has never been so great, I got as a kid to convince my parents to plant trees within its boundary and each time I touch the trunk I get excited knowing that they would not have been there if I did not insist on planting. The trees are tall, perennial, woody plants, which continue to grow until they die. They grow almost everywhere on Earth, extreme cold regions near the Arctic and Antarctic to hot tropical regions around the equator, and even in deserts and most diverse populations of trees are in tropical rainforests. In comparison with other plants, trees are considered long term. As perennials, they are classified as having a distinct rod self-supporting main or trunk, containing a woody tissue that produces secondary members and branches. Their size and the main stem only to differentiate them from shrubs, which are generally shorter and have many stems. With over 20,000 types of trees growing in the world, some species can grow really big, like redwoods and eucalyptus trees which reach heights of over 110 m. (360 ft). The trees come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and can be divided into six basic groups according to characteristics they share. All the above groups have provided food, fiber, medicines, and many other valuable substances in everyday life. If you are asked which product you will receive the trees, the wood is faster than that comes to mind. Since ancient times, people have used wood to make tools and build buildings and to forms of art and expression. More importantly, the timber has also been used as a fuel source. In addition, trees in the world's forests and plantations provide food and shelter for humans and wildlife. The trees give us fruit, nuts, roots and other tree parts that we use to feed ourselves. Tropical fruit trees are among the most popular and particularly lawyers, grapefruit, mangoes and oranges. Cooler, temperate regions have fewer kinds of fruit trees, but to produce large quantities of apples, cherries and peaches.
