Imitation Christmas TreesSurvey. Real Christmas tree or imitation?

I grew up with Christmas trees and the early years when my children were young, we had real trees before moving on to an artificial tree. My parents moved to an artificial tree after my brothers and sisters and I grew up. The artificial trees are quite realistic and focused. They miss the smell of pine, but you can always buy a pine scent.

Real. I only had a real tree for a few years, however. Growing up, our cat always climbed the tree and would have made a mess of needles / get all sappy / knock on the tree, if we had a fake.
