Hydrangea Bridal Bouquet

Posted on March 2, 2010.
Hydrangea Bridal BouquetAre hydrangeas delicate flowers to work with bridal bouquets?

I am willing to use for my bouquet of hydrangeas and the florist said they were difficult to work with, because they are very delicate. Strange since I've seen all the books during the recently married. Any comments or suggestions?

I know my grandmothers bunch of 30s was a mass of beautiful hydrangeas. Unfortunately, the flowers of hydrangeas tend to break at their base. I walked to a local cemetery to cut flowers for decoration, and should get more than I need just to compensate those who will inevitably break in transport (and no worries, cut flowers at this location very well with the owners of cemeteries - the bushes are huge and 100 years, they do not mind the free size).

If the rods are reinforced with florist tape, it might work.

You can try using dried hydrangea flowers. They dry beautifully and can be sprayed to make them more sustainable. And if you want to preserve your bouquet as a souvenir of the day - and, using the dry, it is already protected!
