Holiday Plants

Holiday PlantsHow to keep plants alive when you're not on vacation?

We're on vacation for a week and I am worried about the garden if it is hot - I can ask a friend to come and water every once in a week, but my friends are busy with small children and I do not want to ask them to come every day.

Some tips on how to prevent plant die? Our garden is very sunny. I am very worried about a new magnolia tree planted just because it is in full sun.

If it is hot, ask your neighbor to water the night because it soak in, rather than to evaporate in the sun.

Check with the children in your neighbor hood usually between 9 and 13 and offers to pay to keep an eye on your property and water during your absence. Children this age will be the love of money.

Your magnolia should be allowed if you've followed the instructions given by those who you got. Your garden is a different matter. If you can get a sprinkler system that will work, get a more automated. Where is your garden? In the North, it was quite humid.

Spend your vacation in your backyard!

sprinkler system, watering points using two bottles of water for continuous litter, they are more or less used for potted plants well, or ask a neighbor

You could leave the plants in their homes? They had them water when they clean water and the problem is sorted! (Check their first plants of course - if they are dead, then ask someone else!)

surly to God in this world we have a sprinkler on a timer, I have not seen one, but I was not looking for one.
but it must be there.

otherwise "you return to the caves gads new guy"

hmm really apply to the neighbors,,,, and to offer 2 keep ur eyes on them because they are away,,,, is the best, and bring small gifts cheap holidays,,,,

Ask your garden center on sprinkler systems.

For about $ 65 to $ 75 (depending on the size of your garden and where you buy them from) you can set your garden on a sprinkler system. The purchase of an automatic timer (runs on batteries and costs around $ 45) that attaches directly to your faucet. You can then buy two 75-foot soaker hose that connects to your timing, then this position around all your plants so they can be watered during your absence.

This system is not good on grass, but it provides enough water for trees and other ornamentals. I recommend you put in place several days in advance so you can determine a proper watering times and the positioning of pipes.

Good luck!

Take them with you
