Custom Christmas Lights

Posted on March 18, 2010.
Custom Christmas LightsHow do I create custom components with Christmas lights for my home?

I intend to go with 25 foot lengths of light (more light bulbs) and cutting / pasting them into strands that allows custom adjustment of watches of my house exactly. I've seen on other houses, but I want to make sure I'm safely / properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Sean

You can but you have to do at the end correctly, I think you need to strip the ends and put them together, but I'm not sure. You can go into a hardware store well and I'm sure they can tell you or wait for more answers here ... just make sure they know what their talking about. You can hurt you pretty bad Christmas lights ... trust me.
Good luck and happy chrsitmas ...:)

Probably a bad idea to make a cut, because it leaves the rain into the fittings. If they are parallel wired lights (it is always on when you turn lights), then you can delete the extra lights you do not want and fold the excess cable. Place a zip-loc bag around each empty socket and you're more likely to survive until 2008.

Cuts son not lend themselves to be "short circuits". I would like to take the garlands of lights and attach the son, to get the proper spacing, with tie wraps. wiring loop work better than having multiple cuts in the son.
