Christmas Lights: Parades boat in Southern California Many road trip planners set their sights on the nearest boat parade. Floating light parades are a cherished holiday tradition along the southern coast of California and any other states have White Winter Wonderlands at almost every turn, the California coastline offers a different kind of winter demand. Here, the lights reflected on the water rather than snow-covered hills. But the twinkling lights everywhere are familiar. So either get on a boat decorated or line up along the waterfront and to participate in the merriment.
One of the most enjoyable ways to enjoy the parade is watching the boats glide by your window restaurant you dine in the warmth and comfort. Most restaurants Waterfront take months advance reservations (add the number to your reservation trip planner road route and print and keep a copy in the car). For those loaded with blankets and chairs, the objective is to park as close to the edge of the water as possible and stake out a point at the beginning. * PARADE Long Beach Marina 1000 Lights in the bank downtown. Some of the best views can be found along the shore promenade Village. Most parking spaces in and around this area will be parking charges. DATE: December 13, 2008, 19:00 BONUS TIP: Make Long Beach the center of your travel planning on the road because there are many other activities of the fresh water on the theme, you can enjoy as jumps aboard the Queen Mary or by visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific.
* Los Angeles AFLOAT HARBOR HOLIDAY PARADE - The parade displays the boats as they cruise along the Port of Los Angeles main channel. You can see the boats from a number of places like the Community Center or prohibiting the landing port of Los Angeles Cruise Cruise on Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro. Another viewpoint is popular in Ports O 'Call Village 1100 Nagoya Way San Pedro and Cabrillo Marina 200 Whaler's Walk, also in San Pedro. Dates: Dec. 13. * NEWPORT BEACH CHRISTMAS Boat Parade - This annual event of Christmas is one of doubt add to your travel planner of the road. Join nearly one million other viewers as you watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks, canoes and sail along Newport Harbor. People from as far away as Arizona and San Francisco have been known to make the trip to take part in this holiday custom. Viewing is free, provided you can find a point of view. DATE: December 17 to December 21, 2008, celebrated its 100th anniversary! The parade begins at 6:30 pm Bay Island and ends on the same site at approximately 9:00 p.m. each evening. Fireworks will begin at 6:25 p.m. in the Balboa Pier just before the start of the parade at 6:30 p.m.
