Charity GiftsPosted on February 16, 2010. charitable donations? I need to get a gift for my brother's girlfriend children (three girls aged between 7 and 11). They have everything and get good at Christmas. I want a charitable donation or sponsor an animal for them. The problem with the sponsorship of animals is that I need to sponsor 3 animals because they send a certificate, a magazine, bookmarks, etc and then there would be a fight over these. Do you know where I could sponsor three animals under 10 pounds each or do you have other suggestions for gifts to charity for children (especially conservation based) that I check out? Do not need it before Christmas, I will not see them for a few weeks. ActionAid have a fantastic gift catalog where you can buy things like 120 trees for a farmer in Africa to eight pounds or blankets for a family, books for school. Loads of all donated various price ranges. You get a card sent to that recipient and he told them about the person who receives the seed / books / covers, etc. All three children can be managed individually and can also promote links between children in this countries and those of another - you could be writing letters to send, etc. etc. www.oxfamunwrapped.com I would say Oxfam and ActionAid are good for what you want, but if you only have one certificate you can photocopy it if they all get a certificate each. Sponsor a child in Africa for each one. Money is not much and I think you can make a donation. Or to do and let volunteers with you somewhere. If you know of a single mother, you can together with a family in need and take them all ice skating or something together and give the mother a single break.
