Carpet Roses

I had my pink carpet for 3 years and I noticed that the flowers open. They look as if the cold got to them, even if it is spring. I read that humidity causes small flowers. I searched the site for answers. I also read where thrips may be the reason. I also recently made a bloc against weeds and covered with peat moss. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you feed them regularly? I like Scott's Rose Food - It's great! In addition, banana peels are great for the roses. Just place them around the rose, under the mulch, if you wish. I've never had a carpet of roses, but I have other types. =)
